The Progressive® Insurance Tampa Boat Show and St. Petersburg Power & Sailboat Show have joined forces and will become a mega-event, with the inaugural show running January 20-23, 2022. The combined show will be based in St. Petersburg’s Duke Energy Center for the Arts–Mahaffey Theater Yacht Basin.
4 Reasons Why Boat Shows are 'Can't Miss' in 2021-2022
Things to Do at the Show
The St. Petersburg show will be in its 42nd year and it’s likely to get an attendance boost from pent up demand caused by the cancellation of the Tampa Show in September 2021.
Boats, Accessories & Hands-On Learning
Both new and brokerage boats will be on display and whether you’re looking for a center console fishing boat, a yacht, a sailboat or a kayak, you’ll find it here along with a comprehensive selection of marine gear and accessories. Also, don’t forget to squeeze in time for seminars on various topics including boat maintenance, fishing and the cruising lifestyle. For kids, look for programs which will be posted on the show site as the date nears.
Nearby Attractions
The nearby University of South Florida campus gives St. Petersburg a youthful vibe. While visiting the boat show, check out the surrounding attractions like the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, Demens Landing Park and the eclectic Salvador Dali Museum. You’ll also find art galleries, craft beer halls, wine bistros and top culinary experiences.
Here's some local favorite restaurants to add to your short list:
- Ceviche Tapas
- Dracula’s Legacy Wine Bar
- Doc Ford’s Rum Bar and Grille
- BellaBrava
There’s enough to do (and eat) over all four days. so why not make a long weekend of it?
